After years of cycling around the city en route to work I decided to look into an electronic scooter. It had to have certain features such as reasonable speed, comfort, sustainable energy use and ease of folding it up for travel/ storage. After a few visits to some shops in the city I got the general idea that these scooters were coming with a fairly hefty price tag due to the high demand by city commuters. Another feature would be a general size so my wife and kids could ride it and easily adjust seat and handle bar height etc. The order went smoothly the company answered my questions about the scooter promptly and gave me sound and practical advice to the model most suitable for my needs.

Delivery was within a week and the Razor Scooter arrived in perfect condition. Assembling the scooter was done with ease and the online tutorial videos were more than useful as well as being clear and concise. Upon riding it for the first time I found it quite peculiar to adjust to smaller wheels and the general shape after so many years of riding bicycles. I soon got used to it and fell in love with its rapid change in speed

Alteration for Different Users

Changing it for the kids was easily done and once again the support of the online videos was helpful. This allowed me to adjust the speed of acceleration and all of the physical features to suit my 11 year old son riding it. He found it very easy to pick up and pesters me to use it so beware of introducing it to any young people- haha. Different options comes in handy in the you can economise on the speed for the longer journeys and if you are worried about remaining battery life and also use the reverse and use the turbo mode which is extremely fun and highly recommended :)

Battery Quality and Recharging

The battery time is extremely efficient I travel around 15 miles in a week frequenting to work and it still has 6 hours of battery for use for the weekend. It changes over night and proves itself as an extremely sustainable source of transport in comparison to fuel powered bikes and scooters.  This Electric Scooters For Kids folds down extremely fast so it can be used up to last minute before catching a bus or train. It packs away a lot smaller than a fold up bicycle and has significantly smaller tyres and neatly stores away in the luggage section.

Safety

Disc brakes- the brakes are instant and are active with a slight touch, this is an imperative feature as it is not only me who uses it but my young son. The brakes are high quality and with a bit of oil have been maintained and I have not even had to replace the pads. Grippy tyres- the company did not skimp out on tyre quality they are high quality tyres with good tread and grip. They function well in rain on wet pavements and in the leaf covered parks in the autumn. They are really wide as well providing a nice balance and lowryder feel.

Green travel in the city

It is becoming more common to see green travellers on motorized vehicles, I suppose we are still using electricity and the fossil fuels that go into the creation of the scooter but it is not a perpetuating problem like the dependence on fuel. I dont drive a car I refuse to commute into the city in a car and sit around in two major traffic jams a day whilst the cyclists and scooters sail past. The relief of stress is unbelievable the tension rises on that sunny morning when all you have to stop for is to grab a newspaper or to cross the road. My friend suggested the safety aspect of these scooters at night for example and I just replied it is exactly the same as bikes and I wear all of the safety gear a cyclist would use, the scooter even comes with a headlight and high powered led light that has not even started to dim after a year of constant use.

Pros

  • Rapid response disc brakes,
  • Sustainable source of energy and transport, the battery has a long life before it needs recharging, definitely a good amount of mileage in it
  • High speed- I have found myself having up to an hours more free time a day due to cutting down on cycling time, in the summer it is great to have the extra time to walk the dog by the river and have a barbecue and in the winter any that can be salvaged in a morning or evening is treasured.
  • Comfortable and easy to ride, I spend a lot of time on it in the morning and afternoon an

Cons

  • That I don’t have three of these for my brothers as well..

In conclusion I am extremely content with this purchase and would recommend the Razor Scooter to anyone. In comparison to other quotes i had from shops and magazines this is a very good deal from a commendable and reliable company. I really do hope that this could signal a new wave of green transport, it is far fetched but we cannot depend on fossil fuels for everything forever and a day. I am glad to be out of that circle and not having to rely on extortionate fuel prices that do not seem like they are ever going to go down. It is a small step but I dont rely on a car and do not contribute to the cities pollution problems.
